The rebranding of PE 2011

Hermann Peters GmbH & Co. KG will be changing their name and corporate design on 2nd May 2011.

With the change of name to PE Automotive GmbH & Co. KG we synchronise the name of the PE brand with that of the company. The company structure along with the leadership of the family-owned company will remain unchanged.

Over the last few months, we have considerably expanded our development team. Our highly qualified and flexible team intensively analyses and structures the requirements of workshops in Europe.

This step is designed to, over the next few years, expand both the product range as well as the product properties with the greatest of priority. In communication with the workshops we will also be taking new options to strengthen our trading partners in the sale of PE products.

The reworking and modernisation of the logo and the corporate design are intended to secure the trust in our high quality and safety standards for the long term and to reflect our modern, up-to-date, innovative driving force to the outside world.

With the hidden symbolism of a truck driving from right to left in the new PE logo, we emphasise our love of heavy vehicles.

Every day we think about our market and every day we consider how best to reach our target groups.

On the one hand, we have our partners, a worldwide network of wholesalers that we wish to support. On the other hand, we have our customers, the workshops, the people who actually install our parts.

Over the last few months we have been engaging intensively with the problems faced by workshops, trying to understand their needs and find out what problems they have. We want to find solutions for workshops. Repair solutions that make their lives easier. When we speak of improved solutions, of innovations, technology and progress, we feel that our communication must also live up to this claim.

A core element of this is, obviously, the logo. And for this reason, we have spent time over the last few weeks and months examining our logo intensively and creating a new, strong, PE logo.

Technical Development

We have discovered that over the last few years we have distanced ourselves from the workshop scene. This means that the people who actually install the replacement part in the vehicle have no longer been one of our core focuses.

I started out in the workshop and I can imagine what day-to-day operations there look like. The vehicle is cursed, the parts are cursed, and no one is ever happy with anyone or anything. This was reason enough to say, we will visit the workshops, listen to their problems and try to work together to create solutions. We were surprised how widely known the name of the company is, but how little is known about our products. How unaware those in the workshops are with regard to what PE can do and the position of company.

Distribution Area Manager Export

I know every single item here in distribution, I know what needs to be packed for our partners, and when, in order to ensure that the goods are dispatched on time.

Here, for example, you will find the products being prepared for shipping. I check regularly to see what needs to go out. This container, for example, has been ordered for Wednesday of next week. It is currently being prepared and will be delivered with a quota of 90 to 95 percent. Every day that a partner is not able to buy our products constitutes a loss for us.

As far as I am concerned, it is important to work in a family-owned company because I feel my talents are recognised here and I am not just a number. Sometimes I even work with the boss himself. That's what makes us the company we are. Solidarity and team spirit. Through good times and through bad. We are all working to the same end, a philosophy I can identify with.
